The big plastic picture

The Remarkable Energy goal is to responsibly influence how waste is sensibly reused. We support a dramatic change in plastic use but see this as longer term, unable to solve an immediate crisis. As seen with the pandemic, single-use plastic has increased.

We are a challenger brand, committed to our business role, purpose and core environmental concerns. We believe there is a need to act now, to build the bridge to sustainability, and achieve a circular economy. We have a duty to support what we all depend on.

Something must be done to solve the plastic problem. Not only for the good of ocean life, but to dramatically reduce the amount of waste that’s sent to landfill and incinerated, and to remove virgin fossil feedstocks from the production process.

We are facing a climate emergency, critical habitat loss, biblical pollution, the decline of the biosphere and the unrealised consequences from the exploitation of Earth’s finite resources. There is a wider projection that the effects of endless economic growth, regardless of the impact will be the cause of a collapse. We literally cannot go on like this as it is transparently not sustainable, desensitised to predicted milestones and irrevocable change.

We aim to reverse the negligent dumping of plastics. Especially now there is mechanism to extract the realisable circular value. We started our journey when we saw that plastic is systemic to the environmental crisis, but can be recovered as a battery of energy. It can be reused as a valuable resource, instead of contaminating our land, our oceans and even the air we breathe. We believe scientific innovation has a part to play in driving change. This placed us onto a path to pioneer a new viable way of recycling plastic.
